Old/New Year TF2

Time for a change? Tired of playing Halo? Well, lets play Team Fortress 2! And even more, TF2 over the new year!

Steam events are different. There are no hosts. There isn't one set time you must play, but instead a range of times you can play in. There may not be any other Sour Grunt members online, but the servers that I choose to host our games on are great servers with great people.

Date(s): December 31st - January 1st
Time(s): 12:00 PM CST - 12:00PM CST
Games: Team Fortress 2 (Steam)

Map(s): pl_goldrush.

Gametype(s): Payload

On the PC version of TF2 can you make your own maps? That may be a better reason for me to get it. And since the orange box is only like 15/20 bucks I would mind getting it again for the PC.

Good... And goldrush is a official map now. Valve takes the best Maps and makes the official.

Sounds awesome. But, uh, what server? Because there are a lot of goldrush servers. Many of them are full all the time.

The Steam Group will notify you of what server.

Actually, I know this really awesome Convoy server that is rarely full and could probably accomodate all of us that would attend at once.

Most don't have Steam though, and that's the problem. I chose a good server that started to liven up again AFTER I made this post. Either way, the Server is nice, and the people are friendly, if it takes you a few minutes to join, so be it.

Yea, I know, that's cool, but in case that doesn't pan out, I know of a CTF_Convoy server that's usually about half-full, great people, great conversation. It's always good to have a back-up, you know? Or we could spend the day playing TF2 dodgeball, there's a great server for that, too.

Even if i had, the game, there'd be no point in me playing coz of those servers. Still, if XBOX 360 had servers for matchmaking I would probably play it. But it doesn't and Australia is away from America, which, lets face it, has about atleast 7 million more gamers than we do, and the chances of Australia getting Microsoft servers are nil.

James, Microsoft doesn't control ANYTHING with Team Fortress. Valve Controls all.

In case you guys haven't joined the Sour grunt Steam group yet, the link is here:

The event started now, so anytime during the day you can join the server.
